Happy Birthday Katie-bug!

Today Katie is celebrating her first birthday in Heaven with Jesus and her sister Lily. How wonderful it must be to have Jesus sing Happy Birthday to you! We miss our girls and wish they were celebrating here with us, but know that they could not be in a happier or more wonderful place this special day.

Until we meet our little ones again someday in Heaven we are resting in the promises of God's word. Below are some special verses for those of us who celebrate heavenly birthdays instead of earthly ones. We are praying that if God chooses to allow us to get pregnant again, that it is with a healthy, whole, and living child. We know that if God wants us to be parents of living children, that He will find a way. What a wonderful day it will be someday when our children are begging us to buy a bigger house because there is no more room!

"He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord." Psalm113:9

"And Sarah said, 'God hath made me laugh, so that all who hear with laugh with me. And she said, 'Who would have said unto Abraham that Sarah should have given children suck? For I have born him a son in his old age." Genesis 21:6-7

"Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full lifespan." Exodus 23:25-26

"If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors. He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land - your grain, new wine and olive oil - the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor will any of your livestock be without young." Deuteronomy 7:12-14

"May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children. May you be blessed by the Lordthe Maker of heaven and earth." Psalms 115:14-15

"Blessed are all who fear the Lordwho walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house;
your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord." Psalms 128:1-4

"Though you were ruined and made desolate and your land laid waste, now you will be too small for your people, and those who devoured you will be far away. The children born during your bereavement will yet say in your hearing, 'This place is too small for us; give us more space to live in.’" Isaiah 49:19-20

"Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead - since he was about a hundred years old - and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification." Romans 4:18-25
